Northeast Occupational Exchange, Inc. is a nationally recognized, licensed mental health and substance abuse agency serving adults, children, and adolescents, emphasizing evidence-based interventions.  NOE provides a range of services to help people achieve higher adjustment and live more productive lives.  (Persons with developmental needs, including mental retardation are welcome.)

NOE’s Vocational Staff provides a progressive treatment program to assist individuals in identifying their skills, limitations, values, communication skills, interests, goals, interpersonal skills, job application completion and interviewing techniques and resume writing.   

Each individual’s treatment plan is based upon their specific needs and each plan is individually tailored to suit him or her.  NOE’s professional staff includes but is not limited to Employment Training Specialist, Occupational Therapist, Psychologists, Mental Health Technicians, Job Coaches, Social Workers and Certified Rehabilitation Counselors. 

NOE works on ‘bridging the gap’ with businesses and service providers in the community working cooperatively and closely with them.  NOE’s vocational staff has worked with Applebee’s, Bangor Beautiful, Bangor Chamber of Commerce, Bangor Garden Club, Bangor Historical Society Museum, Bangor Public Library, Bangor Motor Inn, Bangor Visitors and Convention Center, Bugaboo Creek Steak House, Russell’s, The Olive Garden, Training Development Corp., True Value Hardware, Garelick Farms, Ruby Tuesday, Wal-Mart, The Grand Theater, Bagaduce Music Lending Library, United Way, Curran Homestead, The Black House and Vocational Rehab.
